I taught English as a foreign language in language schools and Istanbul University for many years and also worked in teacher training and development on CELTA , DELTA and British Council training and development courses. I moved to Glasgow in 2003. I specialize in English for Academic Purposes (EAP), teaching and course directing within the SMLC at the University of Glasgow. I am particularly interested in academic language use and the implications for EAP course and materials design. I am a member of the BALEAP Teaching EAP working party and Assessor for the BALEAP Accreditation Scheme (http://www.baleap.org.uk/) . I also lead a number of courses on the MEd and MSc TESOL at the University of Glasgow.
